itchy bumps

I cannot see them but i can feel them cause they itch and they are raised like little bug bites. They are on the inside of either of my butt cheeks and have spread from above my anus to down and around each cheek. I shower twice a day because i am athletic but they only seem to get worse. It is hard for me to sleep at night cause they itch so bad. Dont get me wrong its not actually around my actual anus but where both cheeks meet and where both cheeks meet my leg. I seriously need some answers because I am too embarassed to go to a doctor.

Hi Bob:

Im sure there are a thousand and one home remedies that can be tried for this problem. But in all honesty, only a doctor can properly diagnose it.

Have you changed laundry detergent latley? Some people have reactions to certain kinds of laundry detergent.

I agree with Andrew. It could be an allergic reaction. However, it could also be due to the fact that you shower 2x a day. It could be a form of excema or even dry skin from using soap so much.

There is no reason to be embarrassed about going to a doctor. They see MUCH worse on a daily basis. They have been trained to diagnose things in this area.

But you probably do need to get this checked out. Just make sure you go to a male doctor to lessen the embarrassment. Remember he has all the same "parts" you do.
