Worried,white & yellow film with circular mark on tongue

I went to the dentist last week. The dentist thought that I had burnt my tongue. I explained that I hadn't burnt my tongue. She has referred me to the hospital to see a specialist.

I have searched on the Webb and found no information about the circular mark on my tongue. I learnt that the white and yellow colure maybe bacteria.

When I clean my teeth now I brush my tongue.

It could be thrush,a type of yeast that grows on tounges.Can spread,gets on lips,and can be painful.
