Bacteria count is determined by how many parts l00,000 or more in a millileter. High count is most likely a UTI If you are asking how they determine a UTI. When urinating into a receptacle for a urine test, a clean flow is needed, so you are asked to catch the urine after a little has left so no contamination is present.
