High tsh and t3 t4 in range headache?
My wife is 54 years old and she has high TSH (6.5) and normal t3 and t4 readings. Can such a reading lead to headache and depression? This is the first reading and she is feeling very sick. Can the high reading of TSH due to that?

Like KISS said, high TSH (>5.0) is usually associated with hypothyroidism, which is associated with symptoms such as: depression, fatigue, dizziness, muscle pain/weakness, increased sensitivity to the cold, thin/brittle nails, weight gain, etc. A doctor wouldn't automatically diagnose her with hypothyroidism based on the test alone, but since she has symptoms and a high TSH reading, I would suggest going back to her doctor for a follow-up and maybe get started on some medication.

When I had these similar symptoms a few years ago, I had my TSH tested and my TSH was 5.9 and my doctor started me on medication for hypothyroidism.
