Heavy, drugged feeling in head/heavy eyelids
    Hi all,
Does anyone have any clue as to the heavy/full feeling I experience in the head. I feel like I've been drugged and want to close my eyes and sleep, although I'm not really tired. Is it a stress condition or something else ? I suffer from anxiety due to stress breakdown.
Thanks so much for your input...
    All the best,

I'm in no way related to the medical field so take what I say with a grain of salt.

I get a similar feeling to what you describe when the barometric pressure changes. It's my sinuses acting up. I don't feel stuffy or have a runny nose, just that doped up full head feeling. I can tell you when the weather is changing because my sinuses are so sensitive to the pressure changes the weather fronts bring. I'll get that feeling anywhere from a few hours to a couple days before a change in the weather.

I get a similar feeling and am having trouble finding out what it is. It only happens to me when I am out and about. Such as at the mall, driving,or in a crowded restaurant. I am also a high anxiety person. All of a sudden with no warning I will feel incredibly tired. My eyelids will feel heavy and it is hard for me to keep them open, I just want to lay down and sleep. Hope I can find an answer. I think it may be stress related. Like my brain just wants to shut down.

    Do you get migranes?
Would you describe any of your symptoms relating to a sinus infection?

Sometimes it can even be the whether that will you your sinuses this feeling, due to the pressure [ie. If it's overcast].

    You could consult your doctor.
