I have severe allergies since leaving Colorado. Tried everything. Any suggestions?

I have been back to California since January. In Februar\y I thought I was getting a cold. Went to the Dr and he said I had allergy problem. Gave me an RX for Claritin. Tried that and the "D".Tthen I tried everything you can buy over the counter. Its not just in my house I have this problem. It's inside and outside. Runny eyes and nose is miserable. Does anyone know what I should do or try? Could it be something more than just allergy?

I suspect that it is allergies. I remember being severely affected by the smog in LA (I'm from rural New England).
Before trying other options I would take a trip home if you can, just to see if they clear up.
You might also have a bacterial infection by now, so might want to try a course of antibiotics. It could have started as an allergic reaction or it could have been virus turned bacterial, you won't know til you try.
