have hyperthyroidism, how do i stop gaining lbs. frm it

i was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism at the end of december and my doc. said i would gain weight on the meds. but im gaining to much frm it and i dont know how to stop it. in a month and a half i gained 7 lbs. and in 12 days i gained another 4 lbs. i need help i dont know what to do.

Go back to your doctor and explain the weight gain and that you are worried about it. Maybe he can suggest a consultation with a dietician - if he does not suggest it, ask for one. Perhaps he needs to review the medication. But please see your doctor again. And good luck to you.
