Hard lump behind ear with headach

Hello I am a 25 year on female. I have been having headachs for about 2 months that are continuos. I get 2 different types. One stays in the back of my head and lasts for hours some times days. I also get a stabbing pain in the right sideof head that comes and goes throughtout the day. I finally made an appt with DR when I noticed swollen lmyph nodes and a hard lump behind my right ear. That was sore 2 touch but now it is just there with no pain. The DR suggested for me to take muscle relaxers and heating pads. I took some blood tests that came back normal. I have another appt set for June 3rd as a follow up however my headachs are not improving and I am now getting stiff neck and achy joints in shoulders to my fingers. Should I be worried? the lumps are not going away and its been close to 3 weeks now. Has anyone heard or went through something like this?? I should add that I have no fever or any other infection symptons. Any help is aprecaited.

When I was a sophomore in high school, I developed headaches every day when I was in school. I took some aspirin to alleviate the pain. However, thank goodness, I was able to stop them through positive thinking and stress reduction.

We have our own power to heal ourselves of many unpleasant situations by altering our thinking.

I am also a 25 yr old female and I have been having a similar problem for 10+ years. When I was 8 I had a cyst removed from the side of my neck. Now i constantly get ear/head/neck aches and cannot sleep or lay down on the left side of my head.

You should go see a specialist and make sure they do some tests. I have had CT scans done to rule out anything serious. I take ibruprofen to reduce swelling and this can sometimes help. One doctor I spoke with pretty much told me to "suck it up buttercup".

I just want to know what causes it so that I can prevent it. I hope you find some answers.
