facial swelling, from pimple?

I started getting what I call an "undergrounder" pimple about 3-4 days ago. (located on the side of my nose) It became very big, hard and painful but never had a head on it so yesterday I tried applying warm compresses to it and then some triple anitbiotic ointment. This morning when I woke up, the whole side of my face was swollen, especially under my eye and cheek. I am assuming that it is from this "pimple", but I have never had one do this. Could I have an infection (I feel just fine otherwise) It doesnt look infected just red at the site of the pimple. Any advise would sure be appreciated!!!

Go to the doctor and have this looked at immediately. I'm not saying it is, but you have to rule out a staph infection.

Please have this taken care of.....AND DON'T TRY TO POP IT.
