What is wrong with me?

For a week or so I took prescription ibuprofen & naproxen given by the doctor to deal with my headache pains. Well I realized that my monthly cycle came on a few days late & it wasnt heavy as it normally is. Now I'm experiencing stomach pains & constipation. My stomach has also gotten harder. Please Help!

Naproxen Information from Drugs.com

This site has a lot of information for you on naproxyn. Basically it boils down to you should contact your doctor as apparently this medicine is causing you to have the adverse symptoms of constipation and stomach pains.

Do not take, naproxen and ibuprofen together!

Both are non steroidal anti inflamatory drugs, and both can cause stomach / duodenal ulcers.

Well, I don't think you "shouldn't" take these meds if your doctor actually prescribed them to you. Did you take aspirin with them by any chance? Ibuprofen and Naproxen, when taken together, do have some GI complications...and can risk ulcers, bleeding, etc.

I suggest you call your doctor, tell him about your symptoms...perhaps he can lessen the dosage.
