Drug-coated Stents pose problem!!!!!!

If anyone has stents that were drug-coated please read. I for one do has them, Have made appointment with doctor to discuss options on these mini time bombs. Is there is legal recourse since this will happen one day?

Ah, Mr, Yet, I am still looking into this problem.

I saw it when I worked for a law firm a few years ago.

Here is a good website that may provide a little insight for now. There is a good bit of information found at the FDA website

I hope this helps for now.

I received two regular stents over 3 years ago, just before the DES ones became popular. I mentioned this to my cardiologist recently and he mentioned there were some concerns now over the DES ones. I also read the MSNBC article. Frankly, I think the article went overboard. I was most bothered by fact that the study cited ESTIMATED 2000 deaths. I would think autopsies would show if a clot formed around a stent.

My advice is to not get overly worried about this. Definitely discuss this with your cardiologist. He may decide to have you go for more frequent ECHOs or nuclear imaging to check the status of the stent. I'll assume you are on Metropolol and an aspirin regimen to thin your blood.
