Contaminated hip replacement parts

Ball joint was contaminated and caused serious infection that required 2 surgeries. Now am on a machine that vacuums the infection out. I am having very severe pain in my leg clear to my knee. Pain is most severe in the morning. Pain begins around the wound where the vacuum begins. Is this a nerve problem possibly or a problem with the surgery?
