Daily headaches

I have also had trouble with headaches and migraines. There are some things that help me get them less frequently. Having a routine is a big help. Try to go to bed and get up at the same time every day and eat meals and snacks at the same time as well. Never skip meals. Taking half an aspirin a day can help. An herb called feverfew available at drugstores can reduce frequency and severity. The mid to late twenties were the worst time for me as well and I found they became less frequent when I was near 30, although I have heard that women's headaches become less frequent and severe by their late 40s. Migraines run in families. A great medication called Amerge can get rid of a migraine in less than an hour if taken right away, she should ask her doctor about it. That is true, I didn't realize how much of a head ache long hair can physically be until I had mine cut to shoulder length. It took a lot of pressure off my head and helped my head aches out tremendously. Now if I could get my glasses perscription filled soon, it's take away another aspect of head aches. Has she had her sinuses checked? Not just her nasal sinuses and where exactly is her headache pain? Does it seem to come from deep inside her head or on a particular side?

The best thing I ever did for my constant headaches and migraines was actually go on the contraceptive pill. Weird I know, but now I only get them during my break period. I believe it was my hormones that were triggering them and once I had something to level them out and keep them more constant it helped put an end to them.

Although you cannot go on the pill if you get visual disturbances during migraines, because they will increase the chance of stroke.

I also found that not wearing my hair to tight (that one's true as well!) having a regular routine- never sleep too late/miss meals and wearing the correct prescription of glasses helped.

I met a very migraine competent doctor once (very sympathetic man he must have suffered them himself) he said there was little evidence for most people having food related migraines, that was just a small proportion of people. He also recommended taking aspirin at the beginning of a migraine attack as it thinks the blood and there is one model for the cause of migraines which suggests vascular spasms are involved. Never delay taking the painkillers, the stomach stops working effectively in the middle of an attack so that it is difficult to get the full dose.

I have also suffered from rebound headaches, I try to avoid the drugs responsible- even for other conditions. Easier said than done sometimes.

It has been proven that a lot of people are sensitive to these type of signals. I can't be in the same room with someone who has a cell phone that takes photos. Or the wifi stuff either. I don't have anything near where I sleep either like cordless phones.

Also, the new TV digital signals have been causing problems to people over in Germany I hate to think of what this country is going to experience as well. Also are there any new cell phone towers erected in your neighborhood lately? This could also be the cause. Also any diet products such as sweeteners can cause the headaches. No diet drinks or diet foods or foods that contain aspartame. I get ill from aspartame.

Years ago I had horrible migraines and went to a good neurologist who prescribed Inderal and Elavil for me to take. I took this for about 9 months and got relief from my migraines.

Aspartame seems to be the cause of a lot of horrific symptons such as migraines. I used to get them when I had just had my son, my diet had changed in late pregnancy and I had gestational diabetes and had to use insulin, everything I ate from there because I had to cut out sugar,was either low sugar, or sugar free, even chewing gum and mints, the main one was canderel in my tea.

Soon as I quit the sugar free stuff, I stopped having headaches.

And lots of info on aspartame. It's a forum I set up due to the problems I had with this stuff, so I researched it. It's responsible for a lot of peoples symptons, even struggling to walk with some people.

I am not saying this is the case with your daughter, but its worth looking into it, especially if she drinks pop!

Is she drinking enough water? I used to get really bad head aches and it was because I needed glasses but the first few eye doctors I went to said I'd be right and didn't need glasses.
