Cushings Disease is a metabolic disorder characterized by abnormally increased secretion of adrenocortical steriods (natural to our bodies) particularly cortisol, caused by increased amounts of a hormone called ACTH which is secreted by the pituitary.

Symptoms include accumulations of fat on the abdomen, chest, upper back, and face and occurence of edema (swelling), hyperglycemia (high blood sugar levels) muscle weakness, purplish bumps on the skin, decreased immunity to infection, osteoporosis, acne, and facial hair growth in women.

I doubt that Cushings can be caused by the coil.
