My creatinine level has gone up from 1.1 to 1.3

5 years ago, i had renal cell carcinoma. I have 1 Kidney now as 1 was removed due to renal cell carcinoma.

Today i got my routine blood test done. Creatinine was until now 1.1 but it has become 1.3. The limit is 1.4

Further in my Hepatic Biochemical profile, my Albumin (in Total proteins) has come up to 3.3 (the limit is 3.0). I have seen that this is since 1 year that the Albumin is high.

All other readings are in Normal limits.

Can anyone inform to me the problems in the results i can have with ??

Regards.

Girish

I'd need to know your BUN (blood urea nitrogen) to know if the creatinine was accurate. It can be falseley elevated with something as simple as dehydration. The BUN/creatinine ratio is helpful to determine if you are dehydrated.

high albumin isn't as much of a concern as low albumin, which can be a sign of poor nutrition.

J_9 agrees : BUN/Creatinine is very important.
