Bump on lymph node behind ear
My lymph node behind my left ear is swollen and I have a bump on it. It feels like I have a headache around the area of my ear. Any ideas what it could be from?

Have you been ill recently? Could it be a simple pimple in the area of your lymph node?

No I haven't been sick at all this year. Ive been having really bad headaches since thanksgiving though. Its not a pimple either I definitely made sure of that. Im not sure what it could be, it doesn't hurt unless you press on it a little bit

You need a proper medical diagnosis by a medical professional.

It could be any number of things, however, we would just be guessing and our guesses could be hazardous to your health. Please make a doctor's appointment.

You are very welcome. Sorry I could not help you more, but without being able to visualize the bump and take a long medical history, we can only speculate as to what is going on. It may be something very simple, or something more serious, but I hate playing guessing games when it comes to health issues.

I completely understand, you wouldn't believe how many horrible thoughts have been running through my head. Im having my doctor do blood work on me and a complete physical, this has definitely been an eye opener and Im going to make sure I go yearly for a physical.

How do I know I have a swollen lymph node?
