Hi I need help on these multiple choice questions

The solutions of the equation 3x^2+7x-5=0 are:

A.both rational B.both real C.not real D.equal and rational E. Equal and real

The equation 9x^2-24x+16 has:

A.no real solutions B.one rational solution C.two rational solutions D.one irrational solution E.two irrational solutions

The equations 3x^2+6x+4 has:

A.no real solutions B.one rational solution C.two rational solutions D.one irrational solution E.two irrational solutions

The equation ax^2+bx+c=0, where b>a>c>0 has:

A. No real solutions B:two real solutions of opposite signs C.two real negative solutions D.two real positive solutions E.insufficient information to determine the type of solutions

I just don't get all the real, rational stuff
Thanks

Real means not imaginary or complex, an imaginary or complex number involves the square root of a negative number, so real means a number that does not involve the square root of a negative number.

Rational means that it is expressable in the form where A and B are integers. For example, and are irrational, because they cannot be expressed in this way.

Well you either factorise or use the quadratic formula. You should have been taught how to do both of these.
