    Re: need help solving compound linear inequality
    nb3fan, hi, are you sure the answer is -7/8?. well, I got a different answer... I got +7/16

    Ok, here is what I did... the steps are:

    Problem:

    2  - 8(3x-1) =< 4 + 6x -2(4-x)
    --------------------------------------------------

    The Steps:

    2 -24x + 8 =< 4 + 6x -8 + 2x

    -24x + 10 =< -4 + 8x

            -32x =< -14

                 x =< -14/-32

                 x =< 14/32

                 x =< 7/16

    Order of operation for this problem is "distributive property for multiplying each term in the bracket" goes 1st, then + and - last
