how do you figure out what x is if you have so many other variables?

Well, we cannot tell the actual value of x, but we can make an equation where we have x in terms of the other variables, in your case. If, however, we happen to have other equations containing the variables concerned, we might get the actual value of x.

Ok, here's how you get x in terms of the other variables:



subtract y/c from both sides:



The part which I crossed becomes zero, so;

I haven't actually, morgaine... I guess the question was asking that...
