    Vectors and projecticles
    If I shovel snow after storm exerting a force of 30.0N at an 60.0 angle to the vertcial... what will be my horziontal and vertical componets:confused: of the force exerted by marcie?

    You can use trig functions. Cos(60) = x/30N and sin(60) = y/30N
    Solve for your x and y and those are your component vectors.

    To see it more clearly, have a sketch.

    Draw your 30 N force.

    x and y are the horizontal and vertical components respectively. Use your trigonometric ratios to find them!

    Image needs to be rotated 90 degrees, doesn't change anything but direction though.:o
