My assignment says that I have to enter 55 on a calculator. Add four different consecutive numbers to end up with 77. What four numbers could be used? Are there any other possibilities? Oh, and I have to use pictures.

This is my idea, I'm not sure if it's right, though. We draw 55 circles, and then we draw a square with a question mark in it to represent the mystery number(x). And then, we draw a square with a question mark with a certain number of circles to represent x + 1. Then, a square with a question mark with one more circle( x+2), and another square with a question mark and one MORE circle to represent x + 3.

77-55 = 22 So, I'm guessing we need 22 circles. I've shown my ideas, can you tell me how to find out how to get 22 circles?
