    Magnitude and direction of net force
    Two cars hit a stop sign at the same time. The first car is heading south with a force of 40N and the second car is heading west with a force of 25N. Determine the magnitude and direction of the net force on the stop sign.:confused:

    They are at right angles to each other. Think Pythagoras.
