8x+3y=-14
-x+2y=-3

galactus Mathematics Expert Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Chaneysville, Pa. Posts: 898	Solve the bottom equation for x and sub into the top one. $-x+2y=-3$ $x=3+2y$ Sub into the top one: $8(3+2y)+3y=-14$ Now, continue. Solve for y and x will follow.
