how do i solve..


5cy-d=4d-cy, solve for y?

i think the answe is y=5d/6c (Note: This way not be correct)
i tried to do this the best i can on here trying to show all work

This is how i got it:

5cy-d=4d-cy
+d +d

5cy=5d-cy
+cy +cy

6cy=5d
--- --- (--- is suppose to be be my fraction line)
6c 6c

y=5d/6c
