Another stumper...
A 23.5 kg sled is being pulled across a horizontal surface at a constant velocity. The pulling force has a magnitude of 88.5 N and is directed at an angle of 30.0° above the horizontal. Determine the coefficient of kinetic friction.
And...
A 4.50 kg block is placed on top of a 12.0 kg block that rests on a frictionless table. The coefficient of static friction between the two blocks is 0.700. What is the maximum horizontal force that can be applied before the 4.50 kg block begins to slip relative to the 12.0 kg block, if the force is applied to the lass massive block?
I have been trying these problems forever now and they have me stumped> please help
