d plus 8 over 3 equals -14

I completely forgot how to do this
will someone help me?!?!

d+8/3=-14

bring 8/3 to the other side

d = -14 - 8/3

-14 - 8/3 = -11.33333

as a fraction its -34/3

it would really depend if "over 3" pertains to d as well

(d+8)/3=-14

d+8=-14*3
d=-42-8
d=-50
