I want to get married.

Im 18 years old and my girlfriend is 15 and we want to get married. One thing is im a girl shes a girl.. Her mom is fine with the relationship and I get along with her fine but she wont let her move out until she is 16. We live to far away to see each other enough for our relationship to work, were falling apart after a year and couple months. If we get married we can live together and have the life we want. Is there a way for us to get married without permission??

I am just curious, what type of wedding dresses will you both wear on the wedding day?
Will you both have MOHs?
...
No offensive, just curious.

Will you get her engagement ring or not? How will you afford it?
Do you work? How about her? where you gonna live together after getting married?
who is the bride? Who is paying for the wedding?

Just curious...nothing offensive...just curious...

I dont wear dresses, far from that. Yeah I will get her a ring, which I already picked out and will pay for with the money I make landscaping. She doesnt work shes still in school, we will live with my parents for a few months since we are going to move to a different state and i have to find a job there. No wedding right now its not important whats important is saving our relationship. And all these questions pointless they didnt help my question at all.

When you gf moves out, when she is 16, will she be emancipated then? Or is your state one that allows a 16 yr to be an adult? Depending on where you live, you may not legally be able to marry. You did not state where you live, so I cannot tell you if a legal union would be recognized where you live.

Getting married is not the way to save marriage.

shygrneyzs agrees: True. Marriage does not fix problems or create something that is missing.

You are from the United States, but which state? CHECK your laws where you live. If you cannot say where you live, then please call an attorney at least and find out. Someone who is 18 and is intimate with an underage teen, can be viewed as a sexual offender. The law would be the one to speak to this, since this 15 yr old's Mom appears to be clueless.

So this is a lesbian relationship? If so, I'm not sure you can get legally married anywhere in the US, but I'm not necessarily up-to-date on the latest news. Better check the laws where you live. Anyway, getting married to save a relationship is almost always a bad idea.

Did you not read what i said her mom knows how old I am and everything shes fine with it. Maybe you never had a relationship but you cant help who you love. The state doesnt matter if there is a state we can get married in then we will go.

talaniman disagrees: Maybe you can't help who you love but you do have control what you do about it.
