Well for starters congratulations on the new baby as far as breech my babies weren't but I did have a c section with my first.
I know how how scary it can be but in the end it will all be worth it.
Just think of it as one more bump along the road till you get to the end. Your last obsticle being pregnant more so.
I wish you the best and a very healty baby.
    Good luck.

Both my wife's friends. Two of them had breech babies and they both needed a c section. I know to a women they feel that it is best the natural way, did the doctor say there is any possible way of trying to get the little one to switch again? Best of luck with you and your little one. It does take a longer recovery but you will have family and friends and hospital staff. You will need extra support to help take care of yourself after. It will be all worth it when you have your beautiful baby in your arms. It is such an amazing experience, no matter which way they come into the world.

There is the option of trying to turn the baby from the outside(by the doctor of course) this can be very uncomfortable for mommy and baby, and isn't always successful. (the situation with a friend of mine. They tried to turn the baby, baby didn't want to turn, so they did a c-section immediately after trying to turn baby. She is a healthy little girl, and mommy just has a " motherhood battle scar" now.) I don't know if you know much about " hypnobirthing" ,but I have heard that it is possible through the self hypnosis to turn get baby to turn on its own. Its not always successful either, and I honestly I don't know much about it, but maybe its something you might want to look into. (Hypnobabies | No pain for mommy. No drugs for baby) good luck and best of wishes

buggage you said it that it can be uncomfortable for mom and baby! I had my first baby turned from the outside. Hurt like heck is more like it. It worked for me but was severely painful and took about 20 minutes. Two doctors grabbed a hold of my tummy and just wrenched on it to get him to turn. I guess the good part is that it was only 20 minutes and then it was over. You are correct also in saying that sometimes it doesn't work. But it may be worth a try. Some doctors won't even do that for risk of twisting up the cord.

Yes, I know it can be quite painful. As I said, my friend had to have this done and she said it was very painful. (I didn't want to scare her by saying "very painful" so I said "uncomfortable" instead. ;0) But they do give you some drugs to dull the pain too, you don't have to go into it without some help from pain meds. They moniter baby, careful of baby's stress levels during the procedure. If baby gets too stressed they usually stop and do a c-section. But if it turning baby is successful, then you can go on to have a vaginal birth. However if the doctors haven't mentioned this option to her, it could be that it is no longer an option at this point. Either way. Best of wishes to her, no matter the way in which the baby arrives. You are about to embark on one of the most wonderful and exciting adventures you will find in life.mommyhood. Hope all goes well, and let us know when your angel arrives!

Tomorrow on VALENTINE'S DAY!! How greαt for v-dαy I get cut up:-) αt leαst I get α bαby--hαhα
