    Maiden to Married Name
    My husband and I were married in May of 2007 and I have not yet taken the steps to change my name. Is there a certain time frame to do so?

    What do you mean you have not taken the steps to change your name? Do you mean you have not gone to Social Security for a new card and have not gotten a new driver's license?

    There is no requirement that you DO change your name. So there can be no time limit to do so.

    I guess I did mine right away but there was never any set time frame to do this.

    There is not time frame. You can change it anytime you want.
