Call your clerk of court in Chicago and find out. The clerk of court can tell you the fees and requirements and what you need to apply for the marriage license.

You also have the option of being married by someone other than the Judge/Justice of the Peace. A minister can do the ceremony for you. Private with the two witnesses. Just an option.

There are many ministers who are glad to do services in thier home, in your home, or even meet you at city hall. ( if you are religous and would like a christian wedding) and often they do it very cheaply or even for just a donation if they don't have to travel for.

I have done dozens for no money at all.
