it all depends on the State, City and Country you live in. Most require only a birth certificate, while some require blood tests, even STD tests, and yet others require that you attend pre-marital counseling.

Yes, what nation do you live in, Canada, US, Mexico, Iran ??

If in the US, what many of us always assume, what state.

In GA for example, a ID and a blood test is all it takes,

In TN you only need an ID

Also if you are religious ( you don't have to be) but if you are, most county court houses have a list of independ pastors that will marry you at the court house, or at the pastors home or at a park, and so on

Wow, Fr. onle an ID in tenneessee now? When I got married it was an ID, a blood test and an STD test. All of these results needed to be presented prior to the certificate being issued.

Times they have changed, that was 22 years ago.

yes, my wife and I were living in GA and my wife did not want the blood test, so we drove from Atlanta to Chattanga to get married, you go to the court house at 8 or 9 am, and give them your ID and money ( if you go though the pre marriage couseling the licnese is cheaper) but pay them the fee and you walk out with your license, They have dozens of marriage chapels who offer an entire marriage package.

You can drive into the state and be married by noon.

In GA, some counties offer marriage license, blood test all done by noon with marriage by the afternoon.

I marry several people every year, I am listed with the court house, for anyone that wants a minister to marry them ( instead of judge) I do them at our chapel, or at the court house or at my home or thier home.
