Can my husband pay child support without me knowing
This is going to sound crazy. I know that my husband had an affair about 10 years ago. We were separated and then got back together. Then I found some birthday cards from a woman - he swore it was nothing - just someone he met at work. About one year ago, I found some papers - they were support papers from the woman with the same name. He swore up and down that it was not true - that someone was trying to mess with him. (give me a break).
I have look at his pay stub and his pay is not being garnished. We have two kids of our own in college and money is tight. My question is - how can I find out if all this is true. I need to know - I drive myself crazy about it. This is the first time I have ever said all this out loud. I can't talk to my family or friends about this. Is there anyway to check the records at Family court (NY)?

Well, a "crazy" post deserve someone crazy to answer it. I will leave my opinion as to whether this is in the best interest of your marriage out of this conversation, as I hope the rest of my companions on this forum will do.

If you have those papers, make a copy. If you have the department # & docket # it shouldn't be too hard to track down. Please look at this link:

New York State Library Records and Briefs

If you hit a brick wall, you may want to contact an attorney or private investigator to help you find out what exactly is going on. It should be simple enough for them to find.

Good luck in whatever you choose to do.

Yes it is easy, just do a few things, check out the court records as mentioned of the court where the support papers came from.

Sit down and go over the budge with him, if he is putting his check into your joint checking account go over all the checks written. If money is tight, just use that as an excuse to want to go over all th money being spent, if you can't explain several hundred dollars are more??
