Afraid of getting married

I am now 23 years old and though I have no idea of getting married soon, I am a bit afraid of marriage. Though I love the idea of devoting my life for a girl, I doubt if I could be a good husband. I don't know if I could handle the responsibilities of being a husband. I want to get married, but I also think that I shouldn't. Can someone please help?

It is normal to fear change and the duties of marriage. Almost everyone goes though it, At this time you have no idea of getting married soon, which means you are not in a relationship with a women that is at that level yet.

When the time comes, it is still scary, but wonderful at the same time

Maybe you're afraid because now isn't the right time for you to get married. You sound like you just haven't met the right girl yet...give it time, you're young and have plenty of time.

Wait until you find someone you love and then if you still feel like you can't commit to her, you might want to try some counseling.

I suggest just having fun being a single guy until you meet someone that makes you want to get married despite the fears you have now.

I think we all are afraid of doing something we have never done before, and heck, everybody who wants to get married, and has someone to marry, still may be a bit afraid of what they are about to do. Marriage is a life changing event, and few are really that prepared, and no one should enter into it lightly, without a lot of thought, and planning. Its still scary after that.
