Abusive Marriage

I have been married for 18yrs. we have three teens ages 18, 17, and 15. i know the children love me but my husband teaches the children to disrespect me disobey me, he says that he's a christian and because i want obey him he will never give me a divorce and will not ever teach the children to love or respect me. He knows that using the children does hurt me so he uses them. He is very controlling, disrespectful and uses mental and verbal abuse to keep us in his control. My family and friends have disowned me because i wont leave him. I have no resources or safe place to turn with the children.
Thought of fleeing the state or country but afraid he will find us any advice please HELP.

Check the phone book or Internet. There is a crisis 800 number or even a local crisis hotline for your area. Please call it. The person who answers is trained to find ways to help you and your teens.

If you can't find a phone number, please contact me through this site with your location information, and I will give you numbers to call.

Yes, you do. Your children are not babies. They are nearly adults. Once you are out of the house and safe, you can get help for your children.

Can you use a phone without one of the children tattling on you?
