Migration/ Product Retirement Strategy

We are currently trying to put together a marekting plan to roll customers who are using our old technology and invest in our newer soltuions. While we're still supporting this old technology, we're not selling this product to new customers. We have already greatly raised the support cost for the old product and have lowered the price for the new product.

Does anyone have advice on creating a compelling migration plan that motivates customers to make a change?
