5 Best movies of all time

what are the 5 best movies you ever saw? your 5 favourite movies, and why?

for me, it would have to be
The Shawshank redemption- a powerful movie, with a powerful message of freedom and stuff

The Prestige- makes my head hurt, its so intricate and scary if you think about it too much

On The Beach- a movie about nuclear disaster, and the end of the human race, such a sad movie, about love, death, and false hope. Made me wish i had a little blue pill to end it all actually......

Rocky- ADRIAAAAN!!!! awesome, inspiring movie. just so awesome.

My Dog Skip- made me cry first time i saw it, when i was younger, first movie ever to make me cry, wonderful movie, about a boy, and surprise surprise, his dog.

How can no one have mentioned star wars?! Only the most amazing cinemographic masterpiece of its time!!!! Im talking the original star wars...none of that Jar-Jar crap!

Amelie is next and then Pan's Labrynth....a masterpiece.

and then of course Pride and Prejudice, my all time favorite book, only recently done well in a movie.

Classics
1-The Godfather (Parts 1,2&3)>Al Pacino, Amazing acting & great directing by Francis Cappola, with a great story and based on true events.
2-Scarface>Al Pacino, great story line once again... just over all fantastic.
3-Casablanca>Humphrey Bogart & Ingrid Bergman act amazingly and the film pulls you into it with emotions and everything.
4-Breakfast At Tiffany's>Audrey Hepburn & George Peppard are very good.. their love seems so real..
5-A StreetCar Named Desire>Marlon Brando is just one of the greatest actors in history. His performance splashes onto the screen and I was simply drawn to it.

Modern
1-Pirates of the Caribbean (1,2&3)>Johnny Depp is just a fantastic actor and brings a very believable quality to the move
2-Benny & Joon>Johnny Depp... once again very good. Mary Stuart Masterson & Aidan Quinn also portray a seemingly real family (brother & sister).
3-The Prestige>Hugh Jackman & Christian Bale do a very good job of acting as old school illusionists. Michael Caine is just magnificent and anything with Michael Caine in it, I end up loving
4-Fools Rush In>Matthew Perry & Salma Hayek are two of my favourite acting people out there (mainly comedy wise). The story line is good and it is exactly what a situation like that would turn out to be.
5-Three to Tango> Matthew Perry once again is one of the best comedic actors out there, I think. Neve Campbell is also super good... she's also a Canadian gal from Ontario The movie is just very amusing to watch and it ends sweetly.

He's my hero.. I own over half his movies. He is this generations Marlon Brando in a way in my eyes... what with the excellence and ability to act in what ever role they receive perfectly.
