Of course you can go to college. There may or may not be some scholarships or grants that you can get. But you can go to college. The worst murder can take college classes.
It is what you can or can't do latter.

Did the schools do a background check on you before you started working with the kids.

I know for my non profit where we work with kids, they would not insure me if I had anyone with a felony working for me.
