| I don't know how everybody else does it,but I have a double hose bib on my sprinkler pump, and when I need to prime it ,I just hook a washing machine hose (or a double ended female connector) to one side of the hose bib on the pump, and the other to my city water and I turn the water on, make sure that the pump side of the hose bib is open,so that water from city(house) can flow into pump, and I turn the pump on. You can hear the pump when it starts to prime and when it does turn off the hose to the city(house)water. and dis-connect. make sure that the irrigation lines are open when doing this,so that the air can escape. I have been doing this for 10 years now when the water table gets too low, and priming the pump is a must, and it has not failed me yet , good luck! OOPs I just noticed you saying there was no priming tee?Is there a pvc pipe on it anywhere to splice into? |
