there are some issues with drivers when going to XP from Vista - could be cd rom, sound

Most of the time you should be able to download drivers from the Mfg. website, but there is no gaurantee they will work properly and may create other issues

It can be done but the biggest thing after wiping your drive and instaling XP, is the drivers
and finding them and getting them to work

Personally, when I first got vista, I wanted to switch to XP. It took time to get used to it but eventualy I got it to a point where I was used to where thing s were in vista and how to make changes that made it more user friendly. In my case.

hee are 2 links that give some info on how to help speed things up in vista

Speed up Vista in Minutes | Mobile Pedia
How to Speed up Vista

Not saying not to do it or it can't be done, but try the tips in the links above to see if this will make things a little less aggrevating. You can always install XP, not a downgrade, but wipe vista out and start from scratch with XP

Anyway hope the site help you
