Viewing screen is shrunk and only allowing 16 colors.

I've had my DELL latitude C610 for a while but have never used it and had problems in the past... Not too good with computers. Recently though the screen size has shrunk to half the size of the screen and will only allow the display colors to 16 . I havent uploaded anything new before it broke and its Windows 2000. Also screen area wont alter. What can I do to sort it out, its just confussing...? thanx

try adjusting your monitor settings. right click on the desktop and choose display settings, then choose resolution and true color or something like that. that should fix the prob. or u may have to change your driver u could have it set to the standard vga driver and not the one that is for your video card.

but look at the display options first
