NO Sound -- Sony PCG-K23

My Laptop suddenly stopped producing audio. I am unable to hear any audio. I uninstalled my sound card drivers and re installed the drivers but still the same problem. Realtek AC97 Sound card. can anyone please help me in finding the solution
