toshiba satellite m3050 keeps blacking out temporarily

Goo Morning,
My laptop is only 8 months old but it keeps blinking and going black for a brief half of a second as I am working. noticed it much more when I am reading my emails. This morning, when I logged on, it went black for almost 2-3 seconds maybea bit longer. Not sure what would cause this and don't know what to check, change or replace.

Help
Deirdre

If you were to call support here's what they would have you do.

These steps don't really address issue, but it is the steps they will have you do.

-disconnect AC and just have battery power and try to start laptop to see if issue still exists

if so, or not,
-take out battery and turn on with only AC powered to see if issue persists

If issue still exists and you should still be in your yr warranty, they will have you send it in for repair

So I would call support on this and go through the steps over the phone and have the laptop serviced while it still has warranty

Do you have the laptop on your lap?

Are you blocking the cooling intakes?
