Streaming Video

Happy holidays to all. This year I have been viewing a lot of videos on the web. The last few weeks my videos are not as sharp as in the past. I put a dvd in my computer to stream. I found that the dvds are playing well. Quicktime and Windows streaming has poor resolution. I was thinking about unistalling the software. I have the newer software updates. I have a four year old Gateway Solo laptop MSOS XP Pro. Thanks in advance Fred
