Mouce movements as little jump steps

Hi All
I have a very annoying prob with my HP laptop, if i start any program the mouse pointer will move across the screen normal as you want it to. After you use it for about 5 second you will find it getting stuck and moves in a leapfrog kinda motion i.e it goes with slower with little jumps. I thought it was settings prob, but changing the setting did not help. I though wood grains on the table though my table is very smooth I tried with mouse pads, white blank paper as mouse pad, nothing worked. it is an optical mouse I am using. I tried to use the inbuilt touchpad, problem persisted. I tried a new mouse, no improvements!! I thought it was drivers, I tried to update drivers, nothing!! Can anyone helppppppppp!!!

God bless you all!!
