Function keys on a laptop

Ok this is hard.

I hit a key to activate te Fn on a laptop.

I need to use the fn key like a shift, only for 10 keys.

m=0
j=1
k=2
and so on.

Make it stop.

This is a Dell Latitude.

I am visiting and borrw5ng.

Da0n = Damn.

Well.............................................I don't know much abotu computers but maybe it has somethign to do with number lock?

To make me feel even more stupider, my wife figured it out.
