frozen mouse

on my asus eee which runs on lynux the mouse froze up all of the sudden. how can i fix that?

Are you talking about the mouse Pad?
There should be a button close to the mouse pad, normal above it, the enables and disables the pad.
If not, one of the function keys will anable it. Note to pictures on the F1 - F12 keys. You can access them by pressing the "Fn key" + F1 or F2 or....
