how do you say in french?

does anyone know how u say
'on the tenth of march' in french?
i was under the impression it was simply 'le dix mars'
but dnt know whether im correct?
does any1 know?

In which context will the phrase be used?
I assume as it is most used, for a birthday
or anniversary?

I used the following for an essay I did for French class, but I
think it DOESN'T exactly translate into "on the..." but more as
"is on...":
"...mon anniversaire est décembre vingt-huit."
