You need to find someone who is fluent in french to help you out...or try the internet. I'm teaching myself spanish thru "spanish phrase dictionary" on the internet...you can use it to translate phrases into just about any language. Study too...that's always good. lol Good luck!

The best way is to read french childrens books and have a french-english dictionary to look up words you dont know, if you can read childrens books, go up an age level. It might sound de-motivating to read kids stories but they use the simplest words and verb tenses.

Move up till your reading comfortably at the level your supposed to be at. It's a rather easy way to learn compared to reading adult books that you dont even understand.

the only way to learn French well is to speak it. Find someone to speak it with, watch French movies, read children's books, tool around French sites on the net. Keep looking and listening (and speaking) and a little more will get in all the time...goutte par goutte. Get a pen pal..........it takes work but the French culture and language is well worth it!
Look for a local French club, most big cities have one, or the local university. Speak French, even if you massacre it.
good luck
