    Rewiring a phone jack
I have phone jacks in two bedrooms that don't work. My main phone is in the kitchen. The phone company says that the jacks in the bedroom don't work because they were probably connected as separate phone lines. They suggested having the jacks rewired to work as the main line. I can't afford to have them do the work so here I am, hoping that someone at the Ask Me Help Desk knows how to do this.

    Thank you.

If it had 2 lines before, then A phone person will go to the outside box and remove 2 wire from their connections and connect with working pair(about 48 volts)
Yellow to red, and black to green. More info needed.
