Umm no. What the police do for a living is catch lawbreakers. They also try to prevent crimes. In between doing that, they may help a citizen by giving directions or finding missing persons. But, with the latter, they aren't going to do anything unless evidence of a crime exists.

Under NO circumstance would any police department deliver a message from a friend. They are not delivery boys. And they have no idea whether the person claiming to be a friend is not a bill collector or whatever.

Before asking the police to be your delivery boy - why not just send your friend a letter and ask him to call you or send you his phone number? You probably also have other friends in common - why not ask one of them?

Or is this "friend" not really a friend?
